Title: all noise no action
Post by: vwmk3jon on September 12, 2015, 11:55:40 PM
New issue with the car.... went to give it some beans the other day and although it revved up it didnt make any difference to overall speed. If i gently apply the throttle it accelerates as it should but if i floor it it just revs up without any difference in acceleration. Any ideas?

Check for leaks around the clutch. If the seal on the input shaft of the transmission has gone, then gear-oil is spraying all over your clutch and that will make it slip like hell. I had that happen to me once.

Is the clutch cable adjusted correctly?
