Title: Boost ecu pipe ??
Post by: John-125 on February 11, 2015, 10:52:31 PM
Bit of a stupid questions but where does the small ecu boost pipe go to on the engine as building a g40 from scratch so working out vacum pipes and stuff and where does the small pipe go to on the front of the throttle body

Ecu boost pipe size ?? Of anyone knows ?

The G40 inlet manifold has a pipe coming off the back, just below the throttle body on the right hand side as you look at it. The pipe feed the brake servo and has 2 small connections coming off, one is for the ecu pipe and the other is for the fuel rail. This is where most people out a boost gauge t piece into.

The small pipe on the front of the throttle body is for the flying saucer part, part of the breather/return pipework. If you intend to not run the return pipework for the charger i.e  boost return mod, then all you need to do is blank it off.

Wouldn't have a clue what the ecu pipe size is but some people used to say it has to be an exact size and length, how true that is i do not know.

Thanks dude :) very helpfull
So in just running a filter off the Breather  so don't need the boost return mood ?
Can't I just run the pipe from the fuel reg to the throttle body ?

never heard that one jezza about exact lengths.... how true it is remains to be seen as mines run ok and i just brought a piece of pipe and fitted it!
