Title: fitting GT inlet

Hi,


I m on to replacing my inlet to a GT one.

Execpt from the gasket, are there other things i have to keep in mind when replacing?


I red something about the throttle cable bracket have to be a GT one aswell?

no it's a simple swap, nothing else needs changing except the manifold itself.

If I remember correctly the bracket sits lower on a gt manifold and the throttle cable pops out some times! Some people put a longer bolt and washers under the bracket to raise it to the right hight!

I just bent the cable bracket with my hand to straighten it up

It's not just manifold to head gasket, you also may want to contact randombadger about gasket to the throttle body.

yeah you can just bend the bracket.  Replace gaskets if they are knackered, otherwise just reuse, there's no difference in the gaskets between a GT and G40.

Yer what Haysey says is fair, another thing is the injector orings you could re-use or buy new.
