Time to say goodbye to my 170bhp supercharged lump. No interest in the full conversion, so it's getting parted out. Plus a few other bits and pieces up for sale.
I'm moving house and spending less time on the cars due to my new job, so rather than it all just sit on the shelf, it's time the bits started helping others go faster (or lower - if that's your bag!)
Most of the parts have reciepts.

Hi,
Did you sell the cam and pulley?
Got cash waiting!
Thanks,
Rhys.
Are the injectors still around?
Also the GT inlet port matched to head???
So what exactly has been done to the inlet? Been polished or carved up ?
Would i have issues bolting onto a standard head?
Cheers Danny.
cam & pulley as good as sold. sorry.
injectors and inlet mani still here, engine hasn't been stripped yet, this weekend is free and reserved for car tinkering.
Posted on CP but interested in intercooler and pipework
?
pm#d about the coilovers
cam, vernier and toothies now with their new owner
What's a conversion going for these days out of interest? Engine, loom, box, driveshafts. Sorry to hijack, feel free to delete!
Whatever a seller is prepared to take and a buyer prepared to pay.
I wouldn't have taken any less than 2k for the full engine conversion, but individual parts always fetch a premium as they appeal to far more people.
You can pick them up cheap at times, but usually for a reason. There are very few non savvy g40 owners now.
did your g40 come out of a mk1 golf by any chance?
have you got mk1 golf conversion parts - like engine mount ?
was the manifold and downpipe adapted to fit mk1 golf?
mani was extended to meet the customised magnex stainless system that I had fitted to the golf.
engine mount was the supercharged polo mount, I modified the mk1 golf shelf to use the engine mounting point from a polo, which was removed and welded into the shell.
The gearbox mount is an amalgamation of a 4 speed mk1 golf mount and 5 speed polo mount. Your probably best welding these up yourself as my mount isn't of commercial quality and I wouldn't be happy selling it. There are pictures in my build threads, if you want to see it
Hi how much for exhaust manifold , inlet manifold, has the cylinder head gone? Thanks
also interested in green g60 injectors and throttle body.
If you can let me know what you got left please asap.
Thanks, Rowan.
Are you willing to part with the radiator? If so how much and what size is it?
its a shorter core 380mm, probably wouldnt want to sell it, its taken a few knocks but still works and it might use it in the future for mock ups.
Bump.
Injectors sold to spacebar.
10% off everything for the next 2 weeks
helloagain mate
still got the loom for mk1 golf g40?
cheers
You only need to connect a couple of wires to the G40 engine loom, to get any conversion working.
I wouldn't reuse the vehicle loom from the golf, as it's been chopped about over the years.
There is a thread over on my mk1 polo forum regarding how to wire up a g40 conversion, which will aid you in sticking a g40 lump in your mk1 golf
Pm'd
You still have the charger
Is the cylinder head still available? Thanks
Hi, both charger and cylinder head are still avail as is loads of other bits
Coilovers still about??
Don't suppose the block still available?
