The question is not just who scrapped that G40 but what did they get in return? Some overpriced, ugly, slow euro box? Which by now is probably close to going to the scrap heap itself.

Looking down the list though, some of the cars which would be worth well over £2k now. Considering a car had to have MOT and tax to qualify for the scheme.

Isn't this just a list of cars that got scrapped that year, rather than a list of scrappage scheme participants? In which case it's less surprising that there are some rarer motors on there, as stuff gets crashed; breaks or rusts away.
