Title: 1341cc mk2 eaton track car BREAKING
Post by: Oily Fingers on May 25, 2014, 04:35:44 PM
This is just a pre warning so to say, that after hard thinking, I'm going to be breaking my mk2 eaton 1341cc track build project. I've fell out of live with it recently due to having an old beetle that takes up most of my time. And I work away alot.

Everything will be available.

G40 bottom end with new big end bearings, full balanced crank new oil pump, new front and rear oil seals, new water pump, 1341cc accralite pistons, never ran, just built up in the block
£1000 collected

Custom made coilovers front and rear, the front coilovers and all powdercoated gloss black, the rears, off the top of my head and mk1 golf jobbies, with ajustable dampening i think (again will provide more details and pictures when i'm home)
£500

Fuel cell, and up rated fuel pump £200

Gearbox with gripper Plate LSD (was in the players mk1 g40)
£650

Eaton kit made up of some PSD kit parts (cam and pulleys)
£350

General engine parts and others parts aswell

New 4 puddle clutch assembly never used.
£200

The shell is a mk2 coupe that's been resprayed, the fuel filler flap has been smoothed over, fitted with mk3 dash, and powdercoated gloss black rear axle.
£450

Roll cage (prefer this to go with the shell)
£250

Engine loom
£110 posted

G40 ecu
£80 posted

I'm working away for the next week and abit.

So once I'm back I'll get prices and pictures once I've sorted through everything.

Update;

Also PPP stage 3 subframe, freashly powdercoated in gloss black, only mock fitted to the polo.

also a 256 front brake set up, drilled and grooved discs, brand new, vauxhall astra (i think) carriers and callipers.

i should be home on the 4th of june, so expect more details about items then and pictures to be upladed, and also the list to be made better with prices etc.  just getting the ball rolling whilst of got some free time while away.

More details about the fuel cell please?

the fuel cell is like this one abit.  comes with saftey cap, so if you roll the car the ball inside the cap will stop the fuel flowing out.
also has a small sight gauge fabricated into it as well.  the cell has never been filled with fuel

Not bad cheers dude. Yourself?

I popped into Yarmouth about a year ago on a work mission. Spotted a green caddy at a tyre shop. Popped in and had a chat, guy said he was into beetles, mentioned a mate of his was building a G40. That must have been you he was referring to!?

Got any pics of the cage?

I know the car, hence the questions about service history of the box and diff.

If it was the same gearbox JBM put in, it's a cup car unit, not gripper.
