Title: MK2f G40 into MK2 Polo - what do I need?
Post by: Jimmy B on April 29, 2014, 10:54:25 PM
I have both complete cars btw. So far I'm guessing I need:

Engine/gearbox - (duh!)
Engine Bay wiring loom
Interior wiring loom?
Fuel Tank
Fuel pumps
Fuel lines?

What else do I need to remember?

cheers,
Jimmy

Im doing a very similar thing right now however it had a py lump In it to start with but im putting my g40 stuff in,
the engine and gearbox obviosly goes straight in, charger needs a section cut
out of the  front panel for it to be able to be removed while the engine is fitted
You need a different intercooler setup, as the mk2 g40 used a fmic, I am getting
a small on in a week or so, I do have a standard mk2 g40 setup too
Its easy enough to do though especialy if you have a g40 to start with like i did
