Title: Brake pipes
Post by: Jezza-7 on April 26, 2014, 05:14:35 PM
Looking to replace my existing lines and i was looking at the lengths on ETKA, but it doesnt show the G40 brake system at all.

In all the pics it shows the master cylinder having 4 ports, 1 for each front brake and the other 2 go straight to the brake regulator.

But (well in my g40) i only use 3, one for front right, one straight to the rear and the other has a t-piece in it feeding front left and rear.

Would there be any harm in unblanking my 4th port and running that straight to the front left brake? There must be a reason why VW went for this t-piece.

Any helps or advice would be great.

no harm at all, I have mine piped differently, two pipes going to the fronts and then a single going to the rear brakes via a manual bias valve.
