Engines fine when fired up in the morning and most the time when i finish work but sometimes when i put my foot down its as though it pauses and then it works fine but sometimes dropping a gear is the only way to solve it.
Mainly does it if i turn the engine off and back on when its still warm (like getting petrol).
Checked dizzy and rotor arm and theyre ok.
Any ideas?
i would check the coil pack i had the issue with the car not staring well when warm, changed the coil and ran fine the miss fire will most likly be the hall sender or check your timming.
Same as Mark and coil pack solved mine as well
Ive got a couple of spares i can try.
Well ive changed the coil and it was ok for a while but earlier the dreaded splutters back. I dont know if the shit morrisons fuel is anything to do with it as i filled up at sainsburys last time and everything was good.
Anytime I use anything but v power I get really poor running and misfires like a bit@h g40s need premium fuel , ;D
Mine runs crap on normal fuel, pinks, splutters have to use v power
Hmmmmm...... ran fine on sainsburys. Had no choice using morrisons. Either that or push it lol. I'll add some octane booster to it and see what happens.
If might of blocked the injectors and v power breaks down the crap that hasn't need burnt so nothing much v power will help
Bit limited to petrol suppliers here. Might bosh some bp super unleaded in later
UPDATE:
Put some supreme v power in, cleaned the dizzy out but wasnt really dirty and checked chip in ecu as per richs thread. How much effect would it have hacking into the wire for the lambda? Thinking of disconnecting my AFR gauge and seeing if it helps.
