I've owned this car for 8 years now, its been sitting on my drive for the last 2 years, stresses me out walking past it and not seeing it being enjoyed and used.
Was resprayed probably 4 years ago now, the paint work is still pretty good, cleans up nice. (will need a good clean tho mind)
This car was my pride and joy for a long time, the reason for removing off the road was that the mot was due and i couldnt be bothered to fit a Steering rack and 2 x front tyres to it to get it through as i had another car to use at that time, so its sat there ever since. Was driving/running fine (apart from the vague steering) when i took it off the road.
I rebuilt the charger not long before taking it off the road, renewing scroll and oil seals. (not bearings)
Ive spent in excess of 10k on this car over the years, and i just cant face spending any more on it, have moved on to bigger and better things now in the form of a e28 528i, and a e46 2.0d touring.
It does start and run, although it wont for much longer as its running out of fuel, due to lack of use intermittently one of the tappets gets stuck, however this should clear and free itself with some use.

Genuine grey g40
colour coded bumpers (1/2), front does have slight scuffs to both sides.

Genuine split rear bench in g40 trim (ive never seen another one) does have ciggie burn to o/s/r seat however not that noticeable.
front electric windows, not genuine switches, but does have dual switch on drivers side, and single on n/s
windows tinted all round, not becuase its cool, was done to preserve the life of my interior.
custom boost gauge in drivers side fresh air vent, (lights up green (led)
does have some green led switch lights, not the greatest job but looks ok at night around heater controls.
Cat 2 immobiliser, with touch key fob on dash. (spare fob also included in sale), cuts lives to starter motor and fuel pump.
Front mount intercooler, (from a frontera 2.3D), very sly, tucked up behind bumper
de-wedged throttle body
boost return mod carried out/blanked off. (charger lubricated using correct spray every month when being used)
4 branch manifold (unsure of make)not psd though, with stainless custom system,2.5" straight through to one lonesome rear silencer, pretty damn loud. re-worked rear hanger too different place as standard rear hangers are shit, and dont last 5 mins.
generic chip fitted, cant remember where it was from, someone off of club polo, poss ppp
better injectors fitted. (green top, blah blah, whatever...) they still inject the same amount.. just in the middle of their tolerances, rather than maxing out standard items. i think they may even still have the silencers fitted to them (surprising how much of a difference they make)
still running V belts with a slightly smaller pulley. cant rememeber size exactly, was marginally better than a standard one,
used to have toothed pulleys, (cheap ones and expensive ones), got fed up with the cheap ones stripping belts, hence why the v belts are back on.

lowered 80mm all round, rear shocks are Bilstein if i rememeber rightly.
both bottom arms are fairly new, as are rear drums and handbrake cables.

recess on rear for vw badge smoothed over.

in-pro headlights they were the chrome ones, but dis-assembled and sprayed grey inside, with chrome indicators, but Laminx over those,
Bad bits
Theres always going to be some.
No mot or Tax car will need to be trailered away
needs steering rack and 2 x front tyres
paint on spolier cracked
random blemish on sun roof. sun roof also doesnt work. (hasnt ever)
o/s in pro headlight does tend to steam up with condensation, never really bothered me, does clear after a little while.
o/s seat fails to tilt forwards, can still be done, but you just have to actuate the latch on the n/s of the seat yourself, other than that front seats are pretty mint, good bolsters.
scuffs on front and rear bumpers, only light damage,
n/s/f door card has decided to distort a little, should be re-fittable.
slight oil leak from sump. (ive never seen a mk2-3 polo without one), helps to protect the underside tbh
rust starting to bubble at top of drivers a pillar. not bad at all
it has its fair share of minor dents, and scratches here and there, but overall the condition is ok.
some spares for sale seperately, myself and the buyer can come to an agreement on these

I feel this is an acceptable price as if i broke it, i would no doubt easily reach this figure. if you think its too expensive, dont buy it. simple.
