I have an eaton m45 charger built on my g40.
And i am figuring out how to mount an airfilter on the charger.
How did you guys do this?
With an oversized silicone hose?
Or did you prefer aluminium with some nuts and bolts?
I hope you have some pictures of it too so i can find out whats best for me.

This is how i routed mine on the g, might look in to movin it after but its in a decent place atm i think .. Hope it helps
Similar to the above I welded on an aluminum hose bent from one side and used a silicon hose to fit the filter!
How did you fit the aluminium to the charger?
With a couple of little screws or something?
I thought of using a silicone hose and a small clamb and then route the filter to the grill for the most cold air.
A buddy of mine did this and gained 32 hp instead of hanging his filter in the motor compartment.
He gained 32hp from a cold(er) air feed?!? Not being funny but if someone gains 32 hp from directig the air feed alone they are probably telling porkies! Lol.. The aluminium is welded on to the charger on mine!
Welded the aluminum pipe too! I did see some significant increase in power when properly fitting the filter behind the grill instead of having it being fed from a pipe to its aluminum casing! But that was cause compared to now it was getting air through a 40mm hole! The difference in power was around 15hp at the crank, but as I said it was cause the casing of the filter was plain stupid design!
Can you show me some pictures of your charger and where you fitted the filter?
And did you also fitted g60 injectors or is that not neccesary?
Not very clean engine bay in this picture. Didn't use G60 injectors but will do now that it is fitted to my new car!

I think it needs g60 injectors.
I have also a 250kpa mapsensor in my computer.
And a large fmic.

I also converted the eaton to toothed belt.
How many hp does your arosa have?
Mine had an oversized piece of silicone hose and a jubilee clip bent to suit with a small piece of metal tube on the otherside held in with silicone and a jubilee clip. A length of flexible pipe i got from the PPP boys at a polo show down to the bottom of the bumper where the airfilter was. I'll see if i have a pic somewhere.
It is not programmed yet! In my polo it was making 143hp at the crank, with standard injectors and standard intercooler! Since I just rebuilt the engine it needs some km on its clocks for the rings to seal correctly before I can dyno it. After that I ll fit some g60 injectors, tune the ecu and I am expecting around 180hp at the crank.
My engine is also fully rebuild.
But stock on a lot of parts like the cilinderhead.
I think it will do 150-160 bhp when proper chipped.
With some head modifications and charger mods it will proberbly be around 200bhp.
But first when it is finished i put a wideband lambda sensor in it to see how the air/fuel mixture is.
