Insurance and head protection things that put me off the idea no insurance company's like cages lol
My insurance company didn't care about the cage at all. I think there are a few that don't. There are ways around the head protection thing too.

Don't get me wrong about tesco would have a cow about a cage but green light, Brentacre etc will be fine.
As for the head, the way my seats are when strapped in to my buckets seats my head is nowhere near them. In standard seats I'd say there is a much bigger risk of head/cage interface.
Brentacre don't add anything at all for a cage. Get some decent cage padding around the head area.
I'm 6foot3 so maybe a cage is a bad idea when I sit I'm my bready my head is by the b pillar and very close to the roof so I wound need to run low seats to solve that problem
