Title: Idle control valve!
Post by: Herpies on December 11, 2013, 03:23:26 PM
Hi,
Does anyone have an idle control valve? It sits under the inlet manifold with air pipes to inlet and air flow
Cheers!

Are you definitely needing one or is the one you have faulty? If it's the latter, a washout with carb-cleaner in situ usually works wonders.

Yeah I'd been advised that and was going to give it a try before changing completely. Is it just pop off both air pipes and spray while still attached to engine? Is there a better way to spray from like the pipe from inlet direction or does that not matter too much?
Oh and are they specifically for g40 or do ones work from gts and small blocked other vws of it's time?
Thanks for the help :)
