I reckon my lader needs a service as its done 15k miles since it was full blended and also has been standing around for around a year outside in the rain.
Anyone done this before? G Werks charge around £400 for a rebuild but i reckon seals etc are £150 alone so i could save £250 doing it myself at work.
Anyone got any advice?
er yeah, but takes a while to explain. I took raw through seals etc.. If you have a free hour, give me a bell

Dismantled a G60 charger that had been sat in a Corrado that had ended up in a river (not mine before you ask) and the scroll was jammed and looked like wet plaster
when wet they can rot easily... alex grants had.

If you open one up just to have a look inside do you have to replace the seals when putting it back together?
Mines been sat for four years, in the garage though, but I'd be interested to see what it's like inside.
stripped mine down today, full of dirty oil and some grit but it seems to be in good condition, gonna get new bearings and seals through work from city seals and bearings in sheffield so should cost me next to nothing as we get a 96% discount with them. first time i've ever done one tho so still a bit unweary on what to do. Pete, may need your help if i get stuck if your ok with that??

aahhhh trreat the scroll like a baby!!!
and oil seals shoudl be a viton compound!! you can get bearings in uk but i'm not so sure about the right oil and apex seals
i've saved them just in case, the apex seals aren't in bad condition at all, tho the other seals are no good as they took some hammer when i dismantled it. gonna leavi it to soak in jizer over night to degrease it all, the fun part starts tomorrow.
use heat on the bearings!
don't worry mate, i'm not that daft ;) seen some idiot (my best mate) a few years ago ruin his by hammering them in, shaft locked up when he assemblied it back together which was really difficult, what a nob, all wasn't lost tho as i took it to work and re machined it out to fit next bearing size up. thought he'd lost it tho, yeah either heat or i've seen them shrunk in by liquid nitrogen, looks really cool too.
