Title: High idle?
Post by: metz on September 28, 2013, 11:09:53 PM
Just recently when warm the revs have stuck at about 1750 for a few seconds before returning to idle very slowly. it seems to be getting worse though and was stuck at 1750 ish the whole time i was sat at the lights on the way home from work tonight. also i noticed sometimes the idle will fluctuate from 950ish to 1000 and back again over and over. any ideas guys?

Mine has always done the fluctuation from 950 to around 1020. I think I'm going to change the ISV and see if that makes a difference, in regards to the sticking mine does this also but I engage the clutch and the revs drop back to normal. I think it could possibly be a throttle body issue (mines a PSD 51mm). Does yours kangaroo sometimes too? A quick dab of throttle seems to stop it doing that also.

Try unplugging the blue temp sensor, if it makes no difference or very very little difference then change that

Mine doesn't kangaroo, I've unplugged the blue temp sensor and the revs go up as they should. I've noticed it's only when warm and intermittent
