Title: Piston head surface
Post by: physicsfool on July 17, 2013, 07:53:43 PM
Putting the engine back together post belt slip. The slight marks on the piston head surface from where it hit the inlet valve.
Should i sand the slight edge down or not?
From what a friend told me, leaving the carbon/coke on the surface is good for heat protection.

Yes you need to remove the sharp edge as its will be a hot spot for det.
