Hey Guys
Picked up my new to me G40 on Friday, and completely loving it, I run a North East VW/Audi group forum called www.vagcars.co.uk so im big into my VW's and after owning the Audi for a while I had a hankering for a 'Toy' so this is where the G came in!

So my main question is, does anybody round the north east have a G40? And do they know enough about the car to tell me if it has a GT Inlet manifold or if there is any way to spot it?
I've done a bit of research for buying the car and know a mediocre amount about them already, but now I own it I want to get up to speed with the car and plan some more mods for the winter as this is my summer baby!

But the G40 is by far the most fun car out the lot, finding any excuse for a drive in it!
So if there is anyone who can help me out in recognising the inlet manifold differences I would be grateful!
Thanks
Matty
Looks like you got a lovely looking G40 and welcome.
Welcome! G looks tidy, get a build thread started :)
Alright Pal, I am in Malton, just shy of your neck of the woods. Are there any numbers of markings on the inlet to identify it? Has it been bored?
Good looking G, mine still requires a fair bit of work
I'm guessing with that bhp it is chipped and running a smaller pulley...?
I would advise getting a quaife diff and a sub-frame stage 2 or stage 3.
I imagine with that sort of power you can wheel spin easily / can't get all the power down . The above will sort that.
hi matty im from Newcastle and own 3 g40"s my red one similar spec to yours.
