I've finally got around to checking this out!
Stu Denson told me years ago about these anti slimjim plates you can get for a Corrado. Not those ugly things that go on the outside of the door, these are OE and go behind the door handle so they're invisible.
It's part number 1B on this diagram:

My first question is, do you reckon these would fit a Polo? As in, are Corrado/Mk2 Golf door mechanisms the same as a Polo?
Second question is, has anyone fitted them?
Third question, are they any use? They look like they protect from sticking a screwdriver in through the door, but I can't tell whether they'll stop someone slipping a hanger between the window and door seal.
I didn't realise until I took the car apart just how easy it would be to break in.
