You are comparing a direct fuel injection engine with at least 4 decades of RnD and with more electronics than a space station to a port injected engine made in the 80's that controls spark and fueling from a dizzy. Yes you can take A high compression engine ad thousands of electronics and make a ton of power but in this particular case its not cost efficient. The Gt engine with the amount of boost it will take to make more power than the standard g40 engine will just melt or crack the pistons when they expand in the block enough to touch the bore. The "correct" was referring to compression, clearances and materials as a whole. Lets not forget that people in this forum have made around 200hp with stock bottom ends.
