got to remember that the original was designed by ferdinand porsche himself before he set up his own company so just carrying on the spirit i spose!

I think that it might as well be a porsche. This one looks more like one than any of them.

Way back when, the name of the game was to fit a Porsche/Corvair flat six in your Beetle. This was relatively easy and made for an entertaining drive when you got to the first bend.

Looks to me like it's had a lot of dimensional changes, maybe a roof chop. It's the first one I've seen that seems to replicate the old air-cooled beetle.
