Title: intake pipes - where?
Post by: VEEDUB89 on July 27, 2013, 04:30:07 pm
hi guys, just wondering where the best place to get all the standard intake pipes are? (ones that connect to the cam cover)
also the little rod that goes on the trottle body (the one that connects the throttle to close the valve) if that makes sense?

All the standard pipework is VW dealer only. But don't bother as the prices are stupid (and they may be discontinued by now). Just put a wanted ad on here; lots of people have removed the throttle body to cam cover pipe so there should be spares floating around. They do tend to rot where they connect to the oil breather but you can always join in a new bit of pipe there. I did manage to get the throttle body rod complete with the 2 plastic end bits from VW. It was a long time ago but I think it was about £15.
