Title: Full blend supercharger
Post by: physicsfool on July 04, 2013, 11:15:19 pm
Chaps.

What's the difference between a standard and full blend supercharge? Or is there even one?

Cheers

A full blend charger is just the porting of a charger, a company called PSD pitstop developments used to port their charger to "full blend stage" where they would remove material from airways in the casings to allow more air to flow, in the same way you port a cylinder head :)
produces more boost

Thank you, I was having a blond moment. My supercharger has a few nicks in the side. And a new set of seals is needed. Contemplating investing in a less damaged one instead

will probably be fine if its only small :) i have a jabba sport charger ported to r1 spec. Has a few nicks on the scroll and isnt the best condition, but once i rebuilt it, its producing really good boost :)
i wouldnt worry, they are getting old now and hard to get hold off, especially a fantastic condition one. So your looking at big money Auro has a couple for sale, a stage 4 jabba in really good nick, but its £350 and needs a rebuild :S

Yesterday i found a couple of holes in the side of the port that runs to the intercooler. I am guessing that will be effecting performance slightly.

Oh right haha, thats a bit more than a few nicks lol
robin has a full blend for sale, seems like a bloody good price for everything that you get!
id go with that lol :D
if its just the outlet bit that bolts on with a few 13mm bolts then they can be picked up cheap :)
or if its the outlet casing then you can get them for reasonable money too
so depends, you could fix it for cheap and save yourself some cash
or go for more power and buy a full blend
