HOW DO CHAPS
Heard a small rattle develop one night and before i knew, something fell off my car and twanged on the underside, driven about 30 miles since and only just realized im missing my blanking plate! The last time i gave it a spray i was worried that the bolts felt alittle loose and it wasn't tightening fully!
Now i need a new blanking plate but what can i do about getting the bolts to tighten?? thinking it will probably need to be re threaded? not to sure the best way to it.
Anybody else had to do this at any point? if so how you go about doing it?
I wont be driving anywhere anytime soon but should i be worried about the miles ive done while not having a blanking plate?
cheers

Bit of loctite?
thats the plan so far, making a new plate right now and gonna wack some loctite down it
Im guessing when i spray every 1000miles, its ok to spray it through the air filter side? just as that far easier to get off

either side is fine, prob better that side as thats were normal air flow is

Looks like i need re tap one thread, looks pretty mashed, just been surgically picking metal flakes out of the hole :S
-
Ideally needs charger splitting and helicoiling
-
Why not a little bit of chemical metal rubbed down into the remains of the threading then re-tap. The bolts aren't carrying any stress.
-
Issue is getting any swarf in the charger

Parcel tape/Duct tape de ole.
