Title: Head gaskets
Post by: Jake G 4 0 on August 16, 2011, 01:27:23 pm
Alright lads,

I'm looking at getting a upgraded head gasket as the one I have just used was useless and split straight away.

I was thinking about getting a metal or group N gasket but does anyone know where I could get one from??

If there is no such thing I may just have to try and get an oem Vw gasket.

Thanks Jake.

I think AEE is another code to use. Was a 1.6 8v 6n.

Thanks for all the advice lads but I did a compression test and all cylinders were 10.5 psi so hopefully the head gasket is holding out and hopefully hasn't gone on an oil way.

Thanks.

Was looking at GSF and kept getting part number 111VG0130 for 6N part. Is that correct/same?

I've got the above GSF headgasket in my post fitted to my Mk2 G40. The Victor Reinz part number and elring part number all match it, so I would suggest you ask them over the counter for that. HTH
