hi im a newbee, and have a old 1993 polo coupe and was wondering if a set of G60 steelies would go on the car without any other modification?? any ideas?? Cheers!
-
they'll fit yeah but you might get arch scrubbing depending on how low the car is. Also you'll be needing to use 195/45/15 tyres rather than the bigger ones normally used on those wheels on golfs.
-
how low do you rekon is practical yet still stylish?
-
If you fit 165/50/15 tyres then you will be able to -60mm (im running similar to this on mine now but have Audi 15" pepperpots)
195/45/15 you will be lucky to get -40mm and not scrub all the time!
-
my car seems to sit 50mm higher on the front then on the rear, bearing in mind all the shocks and springs are still standard. Rear shocks maybe a little worse for wear??
-
Its the springs that control ride height not the shock absorbers.
Are you sure that the springs are the correct ones and the back ones haven't been cut down or something? 50mm is a very big difference indeed.

Sorry i meant 5mm difference, i just read what i wrote !idiot!
