Post by: dani1326 on January 13, 2011, 09:53:43 pm
Ok so I have an eaton powered g40 and need some bigger injectore but havent a clue what size, here are my mods;

Eaton charger running 19psi
17% smaller charger pulley

Piper 252* 272* camshaft
Ajustible cam pulley

will be having a custom map once iv got the injectors but can any one point me in the right direction please??

i think red 310cc injectors would be the right size for that. g60 greens which are 250/260 i believe are at 100% duty cycle at high revs on an eaton G.

I would say if you are aiming for the right side of 200bhp then yeah you definitely want 310cc.  But you should speak to whoever is going to remap it before buying anything.

With that cam you'd probably get away with 250cc injectors, but I'd recommend 310cc to give you some wiggle room!

If you've been emailing/PM-ing Yoof he's away on holiday at the moment - back in the next couple of days.

I have 250cc and mine is 190hp. When it was mapped, the injectors were not maxing out so I would agree wth above that for 200+ bhp then get the red tops in.

Nice one, any clue where I can get them?? So do we think I'll be running over 200bhp+ with me mods??

Injector size isn't completely proportional to power output - it very much depends on your hardware too. A low compression motor with a filthy cam will need much more fuel to make the power compared to something higher compression.

The Eatons I've seen in the past have needed fairly large injectors for their power output (e.g. maxxing out 250cc units at 180-190bhp) - but they were running dirty cams.

You might make 200bhp - it'll depend how that cam works with the Eaton. If it makes peak power close to (or over) 7000rpm, then the power numbers will be fairly high. I don't think the Shrick is that lairy a cam though.

Oh, and use the stock fuel pressure regulator.

The camshaft powerband is 1500-6500

If you're not in a hurry we could supply some 310cc injectors fully cleaned and tested for much less than the Jabba price.
