Im going to tackle the boost return mod soon and was wondering, how much PTFE spray should I use in my old charger [which is going to be full of that bog standard oily pish]??
I understand you spray it for 2secs every 1000miles or so, but is the initial amount any different?
Do I need to drain any of the oil that will already be in the charger?
Then, how much will i spray into my new freshly built charger since it has nothing inside to lubricate it?
Cheers, Adrian

I used to give mine a couple of short blasts, probably adding up to about 2 seconds of spraying in total. Do this with the engine running.
No need to drain anything out.
A freshly rebuilt charger should have already been lubricated inside when it was being put back together.

cheers hayesey, ive noticed there is a type of lubrication in the new charger. will i still need a blast of PTFE in it aswell for the first 1000miles?

no it's probably full of klubber grease so wont need any in it during running it in at least. ask whoever rebuilt it exactly what is in there
