Tie rod arms
« on: November 08, 2013, 06:11:52 pm »
Hi all,
After a bit of help, my cl bodied g40 is in need of new tie rod(s) and ends, the left side needs a new tie rod ideally and the end. I have found one on gsf that has the same dimensions as mine, so I'm pretty sure that side is sorted.
The side I'm struggling with is the drivers side, it has a curved tie rod arm with no locking nuts. The tie rod end itself looks very different to the left hand side tie rod end, does anyone one know where I might be able to get the correct end?
If pictures would help then I can throw some up!
Thanks in advance,
James

And I have just realised I posted this in the wrong section! Sorry mods, would someone be able to put it in its proper place?
Thanks again,
James

The drivers side end doesn't come apart  the whole arm must be replaced

Didn't realise that, can people still get hold of the curved arms and if so where sbouts are they? My research isn't presenting much!
Cheers

My first G (now GrayG40's)had a DIY effort on it which caused a bit of head scratching when I went to replace it. It can obviously be done though with the right length of rod, thread cutter and big muscles, so don't despair.
