Title: CEG gearbox.
Post by: benh999 on November 21, 2013, 08:35:29 pm
Will 5th gear from a CEG gearbox be suitable for my ATV??

I would like it to be slightly longer for cruising however it's not essential??

Ben :)

If you want a longer 5th on your atv you'll want one from an 8p gearbox..

What finL drive would I get with the CEG fifth?  If it's similar to Atv I'm happy :)

CEG is the same as 8P.  Personally I don't really like that 5th gear in the g40 box is just cocks up the ratios.  Annoying on the motorway, you either have to stay at 90 all the time or you're constantly having to switch down to 4th.

Is it really that long, 90mph?? What rpm would you be doing @ 70mph?

I can't remember exact RPMs, it was in a car I don't own any more but I do remember it annoyed me.
