could a low voltage be making my oil buzzer come on
« on: August 18, 2009, 05:44:37 pm »
i checked the voltage and it seems to be around 13 amps

the oil buzzer is coming on even though the car seems to be running fine, with the oil buzzer going off i can open the oil cap and the cam still flicks oil out of the hole. so there is oil there. i dont wanna get the car ready to sell until in happy this wont come on anymore. it came on 2 days ago most of the day. took the car home and tightened the charger belts and the oil buzzer hasnt gone off since. seems to be vey intermittent

you mean 13 volts?  that's not bad anyway, worry if it goes less than 12v.

do you have an oil pressure gauge connected up so you can really see what the oil pressure is doing?
