Kangarooing
« on: December 22, 2010, 11:50:39 pm »
Hello guys, need some help on the G please.
Driving home from work today and it suddenly started kangarooing :-\

I pulled over and at idle, the revs just seemed to gradually drop to below 500rpm then eventually cut out.

I managed to get home alright, left it to settle down for a bit then went off to pick the wife up from work, all was well until after about 15 minutes of driving, it started doing the same again, almost as though it's struggling for air?  :-\

I've been told that because it's got the boost return mod, the charger may need lubricating with the PTFE spray? Could this be the problem or could anyone shed some light on the problem please?

Help much abliged.

yes the charger needs PTFE spray if you have removed the boost return pipes, pm PeteG40 on here to buy some.

That's not going to be your problem though, it sounds like ignition breaking down.  Could be coil, hall sender (in the dizzy), plugs, leads etc..etc...
