Title: Seal in 'charger?
Post by: ben_91 on August 12, 2009, 09:52:50 pm
It would appear that a seal has gone in my supercharger?!
It is leaking a lot of oil out of the butterfly valve (i'm running the boost return mod)
Can anyone specify which seal it would be and where I can get it sorted and how much it is going to cost to get it fixed?
Thanks
Ben

mate it could be a few..it sounds like you need to take the charger off and get it serviced.. Jabba or G-werks is where you can get it done. You are looking around 350-400 quid for a standard rebuild which will include new seals and bearings and fresh bolts.  Not many people have the tools or the big bollocks to crack open a charger themselves and start tinkering..although some do give it a bash sucessfully as you can buy the seals and bearings from verious companies.

even if it is a seal, there are 5 seals and they are 4 different sizes.
