Title: where can i order electric feul pump from?

i recently bought a bosch feul pump 4 my car but its the wrong 1. im not sure which 1 i need as it dirty n warn so all i can see is bosch 04. does any1 know which 1 i need or the part num for it or the standard vw 1, thanks

which fuel pump do you mean?  just phone Euro Car Parts and ask for a pump for a G40/PY engine code.  You need to tell them if it's the lift pump (which is in the fuel tank) or in-line pump (which is the thinner of the cylinders under the car).

^^Thats the important bit^^   People have converted 1l and 1.3 CLs before but not changed the fuel pump not realising they are different.

its the line pump and a conversion so not got engine code, tried o44 thats wot was wromg, way 2 big. can any1 give me a g40 engine code?

a bosch 044 will work but you'll have to make your own mounting for it and probably cut off the wiring connector and put a new one on.  proper g40 pump is very expensive.

i got my pump from euro parts £156 cheapest i could find.

Bosch 044 is massively overrated for the application - it's 300l/h @ 5bar. Stock is only 75l/h @ 3bar, so you'll be working your regulator and return lines hard.

For reference, Polo SPI pumps are rated for 104l/h, but at only 1.1bar.

I ordered it over the phone mate took two days to get it in i just asked them for an inline fuel pump for a 1991 g40. :)
