Part number: 321919505A
It started buzzing randomly the other day and was half bringing on the ignition lights.
Haynes manual says it's the inlet manifold pre-heater relay (whatever that is) .... It's gone all blue and corroded.
Does anyone have one or know where to get one. Mot is around the corner and this would be a major setback :(
What exactly is this relay for? Googling the part number brings up 'radiator fan relay'....
Thanks.

Sounds like the 4 pin relay? Any 4 pin one will work mate

This one has 5 pins mate :s - should it only have 4??
Just went out and checked - the fuel injection pump relay has 4 pins. This has 5..

Haynes manual says that the relay in question is the 'Inlet manifold pre-heater relay' - does that mean its a relay for the auxiliary air valve? Could explain why my engine misfires slightly on a cold start up - if the engine is warm, it never misfires. And on a really warm day it lessens the misfire. I've replaced/tested everything apart from the knock sensor and it still does this. Could it be that this relay was the problem?
I'm probably completely wrong, but my engine is all new and this problem is still there, and I'm out of ideas....

I've searched a good bit and VW classic parts sell it for 35Euro plus 26Euro for postage lol. I've emailed VW Heritage to see what they say...
