Sub 1k g40 on Ebay
« on: January 29, 2010, 11:16:00 pm »
Just watched a red g40 with 70k on a complete engine rebuild sell for £990.  Was tempted to bid but no service history and big dent in roof. It did have plenty of mot and tax but was in west Sussex.  If it was closer I may have had a cheeky bid

i also noticed this, i didn't like the dent in the roof which put me off as i've looked at a few G's with similar issues around the sunroof,
still a bargain though

It seemed to have the door check strap ripped out of the bodywork as well. I'm also wary of 'rebuilt' engines. It may have been a bargain, but sometimes paying a bit more for a tidy G40 up front works out cheaper in the long run.

oh i know the one now, the door bit was fucked!

cheap but yeah like said above, too many risk factors, and for x amount more, you dont have to worry and can pick a decent one up
