Post by: juan on December 22, 2008, 12:15:05 pm
The radiator fan in the g40 ive just bought is buggered and i was just wondering if its ok to replace it with a fan from a mk3 1.3 cl?

just the fan or the motor?  The normal 1.3 one wont be twin speed.  the actual plastic fan that sits on the motor is the same though.

ok, well it's GT/G40 specific.  you'll prob find that the fan motor you have spare only has a 2 wire connector?

yeah because I like say, it'll only have two connectors in it! Where as the GT/G40 has three.

i'm sure the G40 fan has more blades than a CL or GT. doesn't the GT/CL fan have 3 blades and the G40 4 blades?
