Title: gearbox

hi any one know what the three torx bolts are on the front of a g40 gearbox are for and what happens if you take them out besides oil coming out?a numpty mate has taken the middle one out thinking it was the filler and found that while tightening it back something went crunch.ooopppsss!!!thanks

they hold together the selector forks inside the box!  If it goes back in OK and you can select all gears then breathe a sigh of relief.  If not, then it's gearbox strip down time.

And don't let someone who doesn't know what they are doing work on your car!

Don't let anyone else work on your car!!   The only thing I don't do is change tyres!  <_<

At least he didn't pour oil in the timing inspection hole like most people who get it wrong tend to do.
