White G40 project * SOLD *
« on: August 24, 2011, 09:02:05 pm »
Mileage: 145232
MOT: Dec 2nd 2011
Tax:Aug 2012
Location: Falkirk, Scotland,
Price: £1000
Description:

I'm reluctantly selling my G40 project as I've run out of time and money to spend on it and I've bought a VR instead.  All that's needed to get it back on the road is a bottom end changeover.  I have a spare bottom end (the original one) which is included in the sale, which will need to have the piston rings replaced before being refitted.

This is an ideal project for someone with a bit of time and money to spend.  I have already replaced the spark plugs (£15 each), the ht leads for double silicon ones, the dizzy cap, rotor arm and ignition coil.  The head has also been skimmed.

Anyone that know's G40's will appreciate just how quick they are, I would love to keep this to finish at a later date, but just don't have the means.  I would like it to go to someone who can carry on the work I've already put in.

LOADS of history with the car.  Previous owners have not been shy to spend money on it, which is why it's still in such great condition after twenty years.

See my thread here: http://www.polog40.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,6693.0.html

Bad bits (surface only as far as I can tell)

Rest of the bodywork is fine apart from the small patch on the boot next to the left light cluster you can see in the pic above and some really tiny patches of rust from stone chips, age, etc..

If you have any further questions, please PM me.  Many thanks.

Yeah, that's one hell of a distance away.  You'd have to have it trailered.  It does drive, but only on three cylinders and blows smoke, so that distance will do the engine no good at all.

Thanks for your interest anyway mate. :)
