Arb nuts?
« on: October 26, 2013, 09:13:25 pm »
Why do the nuts that fasten the arb to the TCA suddenly come loose? i thought it felt a bit weird. sick of torquing them up.

the ones that are on arnt nyloc bolts. i have tried a load of others that are same size but the thread pitch must have been slightly different as it wouldnt screw on so had to re use old ones.

Tris,

They’re a fine pitch bolt (M12x1.5 from memory) M12 standard pitch is 1.75

Only time I’ve had them work loose is when the nylon bush has seated/moved after a few miles. Torque is quite high on them.

They should have been new nuts- they come with the TCA bushes... my bad!

Pete
