bilstein b6
« on: August 18, 2010, 02:59:01 pm »
hi there!

i've been looking for new shocks for my car, because when i change the coils i figured that they are still the original shocks. actually, 19years old!

well, there's a friend of mine that can get a big discount on bilstein b6 shocks. he can get each shock new in the box for 50€(40£) each one!

as i know, they work perfect with standar coils or lowering coils till 30mm! i have 40mm weitec coils, and i know that the b8 are the best choice for lowering, but i cant get the same discount.

do you think it will be ok using bil's b6 with 40mm coils?

thanks a lot for your help!

Cant comment regarding if these are ok with shorter springs, but where on earth can you get bilis for this money! Any chance of a set??

he's a friend of my cousin. he can get me those shocks with 50% off ad without vat. they are even cheaper than the original ones from sachs. i really think that im going for those shocks even that they aren't the specific for my coils. it's a bargain!

It's a very good price mate... I bought b8s 5 years ago and i paid 550euros for a set of 4...
As for the lowering, yes, they can't handle more than 3cm... If you are willing to keep the car, go for a set of sprints, you won't regret it at all...

thanks for your advice mate! i'll deffinetly go for billis b6. can't wait to see how it works with weitec coils and to see how it handles.

i'll talk with the guy to see how many kits can he get for the same price and then see if someone is interested..
