Driver side earth
« on: February 12, 2011, 08:58:35 pm »
Evening Folks, I had a search on here, and found all the earthing points.
Either E1 or E2 the body strap on the drivers side, i'm a little unsure as where to bolt to engine wise.
Befor ethe engine conversion it went from body to alternatort bracket!!! But now with the charger there are obviously lots of moving parts. So I wondered where VW had it fixed.
I have thought about stripping a previously lugged end, and form a soldered ring to go under the 17mm engine bolt , or maybe onto one of the 13mm bolts.

Cheers in advance folks

Rich

After reading an article I found by (i think hayasey) it confirmed onto the charger.
I was just a bit worried about it being a bit close to the belt etc. I have a day off tomorrow, so an going to have a good look, and a go at setting the CO pot up.

it goes in a U shape towards the front of the car to avoid the belts - you'll find it'll probably run better wtih that earth on!
