Title: Rear gearbox mount
Post by: metz on June 27, 2013, 05:14:47 pm
The rear box mount rubber is really soft, so much so I can rock the engine and box on the mount from underneath by hand.  Is there an alternative rubber worth buying ? What are others doing?

We spoke about this at the meet haha. Phil J sells some tougher rubber ones, also Stinky Pete off club polo has mentioned making some nylon versions up which are another possibility

Phil J sell some poly ones, updated from the original pitstop ones. Much harder and do the job well

Had them fitted to a number of G's and GT's and really do tighten the engine up with minimal vibrations sent through the car, which I would be worried about with nylon ones

Just picked some up for my next G build :-)
