fancy a summer driving holiday visiting the best driving roads of the UK (mainly northern england for some reason)? If so then some road safety whingers have compiled a nice list of places to visit for you:

Although the top of the list is already ruined with speed cameras.

barnsley to wakefield is camera'd too and isnt fun at the best of times. Apart from when yr DKnight and pull over to 'fix your exhaust' in a dogging spot when the police pull up!

the A285 Chichester to Petworth - West Sussex, ducton hill was such a struggle in my 998 mini, swear i could have pushed it faster up there. i took that strip daily while traveling down form horsham, i would go via petworth cause it was just so invigorating nipping about was like i was in Monte carlo lol, lovely route in summer, tragic in winter.

to be honest i think its a load of shite, most roads where i live are far worse! (class)

Surprised any can get out of Derbyshire looking at that list.

A big slice of the stats for these roads is generated by the bike brigade. I don't know about the north of England, but roads in the far north-west of Scotland are such a big magnet for these guys that even the Fokkers turn up here with little books printed in Germany telling them where to get the knee down. They do better than that and we get screwed.
