The insurance thing is fraud as he's directly lying when they ask if the car is standard. We've all done it from time to time, although if you have 7 cars I imagine you'd have the extra couple hundred quid for an accurate policy (my reason was always lack of money anway!).
178@ the fly would be realistic I'd have thought? Perhaps he had his Ford Kevscort hat on when writing the ad and thought he'd be a bit cheeky by saying it was at the wheels.
Does come across as a bit of a plumb to me.
As for the MOT thing, I just sold my 6n2 cheap as I really couldn't be arsed to insure it, drive it to an MOT place (when I'm always at work 40 miles away) organise transport back/ there, etc....... it's not always convenient and sometimes people (like myself) will just take less money for it as a result. My 6n2 had sat on the drive for 18 months and had about £700 spent on it (parts), plus the cost of the car, plus my time and effort and a trip to Liverpool and back to swap engines..........it sold for £500. I also gave him a mk2 8v golf engine as well as the original polo engine.......again because I can't be bothered/ haven't got time to sort everything and sell it for as much as poss.
