Posting On behalf of a mate :

rite here goes nothing... I've got a tapping noise coming from my g40.... I've got a good diea what it is!

theres a regulator/pressure thing on the fuel rail its on the start of the rail?? will that make a tapping niosE

Potentially. The fuel injectors make a 'ticking' noise as well, sure it's not those that sound like your 'tapping'?
