G40 conversion
« on: March 17, 2015, 11:32:41 am »
I have a 1.3 something or other shell (not a GT) and a Supercharger, but that's it.

I need a G40 conversion to stick in.

What have you got?

Don't mind rebuilding it, etc. I'll most likely do a headgasket/ top end/ cambelt/ water pump change regardless.

A rebuilt gearbox with a Quaife would be a bonus!

Starting to think I'll have to come get those bits after all mate, there's no conversions about! Give me a price for all the applicable bits you got. When are you next at your unit? I'll pop over to collect/pay for the stuff I've put the deposit on and maybe buy a load more off you ;)

Or just sell me your G40 out your saloon and build your own up now you have your MX5! ;)

Engine
Gearbox
Driveshafts
Mounts
Radiator & all cooling parts
Battery
Engine loom
Fuel pump
possibly fuel lines (unless they're all the same in which case I have the CL stuff on mine already)
Complete exhaust (pref. standard/ quiet)
Drivers seat (pref. Corrado).

Stuff I don't need/ already have;
Polo mk3 (engine removed by previous owner)
G-lader
ECU with SNS5 chip.

Anyone else reading feel free to tell me if you have any of the above and how much you want!

Engine - block and head and camshaft in separate bits, gt or g40 inlet
Gearbox - only got my lsd box and still umming and arrring over that
Driveshafts - have got one, think it's the long one
Mounts - think i have a gearbox/rear and maybe an engine one
Radiator & all cooling parts - no rad but plenty of hoses and prob a thermostat but would always advise new one, same with water pump
Battery - no battery
Engine loom - i have a spare loom but not sure if i'll part with it
Fuel pump - pretty certain i have both of these
possibly fuel lines (unless they're all the same in which case I have the CL stuff on mine already) - fuel lines i have
Complete exhaust (pref. standard/ quiet) - standard manifold and cat back section available
Drivers seat (pref. Corrado). - seats, no sir
