Struts?
« on: September 28, 2010, 07:10:18 pm »
i have the 256mm disk up grade with Girling 54 type calipers and they bolt straight on to my struts with no extra "carriers" does this mean my struts are not G40 or is this normal?

cheers

I have the same calipers, girling 54 on them, i think that the carrier is all part of it. The golf gti ones have a carrier but i think cause these are audi ones they go straight on.

A friend of mine also had the same calipers on g40 struts.

that's just the audi caliper with the carrier already attached isnt it?  Doesn't the part with the two bolt holes that line up to the strut, unbolt from the sliders on the caliper?
