Those of you lucky enough to get to BVF at the weekend will have had chance to see this. I need to trim the fleet, so the mk3 saloon is up for grabs.
1991 mk3 saloon in Capri green
12 months MOT
6 months tax
63k miles on the shell
57k miles G40 engine conversion (both sets of clocks available)
Corrado front seats in black excellent condition
Full set of green tint glass
Jet black door cards
OE CL black rear bench
G40 rear axle, brakes and steering damper
60mm Gmax springs and dampers
14" steels with 185/50/14 rubber
Stock engine with new platinum plugs, cam belt and water pump
New clutch and clutch cable
OEM decat downpipe, OEM centre and Longlife stainless steel rear section.
Not too bad bits
Stock G40 charger is long in the tooth, so will need replacing within the next 20k miles due to heavily worn scroll.
Gearbox is a CZG code with 8P fifth (near as dammit ATV ratios which with swapping in 3rd and 5th at a rebuild would be G40 ratio)
Car was broken into before the conversion. I've had a replcement door fitted and painted, but ideally the steering lock mechanism could do with changing, in particular the black tube holder is bent. It still all works fine, passed an MOT and all the locks are the same key so I will leave that up to you.
The body work is very good and would struggle to find better (took me 2 years to find one in this good condition) however there are a few dings here and there. Worst is the lateral ding on the drivers rear quarter just behind the door, but not noticeable until up close.
This is an ideal buy for somone looking for a turbo or Eaton conversion really, but you can also pick up serviced Laders for reasonable prices these days.
£1200 located in Manchester
Will probaly take to the polo show if its not been sold already by then
