Richard- they're similar, but obviously suited to the Polo so most of the parts are custom fabrication, the bearings themselves are the same I believe as older Escort stuff used on the rally cars etc.
Cage will be gusseted although should have ample pickup points for shell rigidity without them, I've only ask for small tags on the B pillars (if any) and small A pillar gussets. Will obviously be triangulated through to the front turrets but I want to keep stock bonnet hinges, the battery has had to move though...
The chap doing it also does our subframes, this car will eventually have adjustable TCA, adjustable top mounts, stage 3 frame and custom rear top mounts too... so I can get lost in a field of adjustability. But more importantly everything is now bolted properly together, so on track nothing moves
