Title: When changing suspension...
Post by: dom101 on July 04, 2012, 12:14:24 am
I know you have to change topmounts, is it worth updating them or just going for another set of topmounts from the net?

Seen all these camber adjustable topmounts but heard there quite harsh for road use.

If your just using your G as a normal car, then normal top mounts are fine!

why do you have to change top mounts?  Surely only replace them if they are worn.

To save the aggravation of taking the whole setup apart again in the 5/10k miles polo top mounts last.

My current mounts are still good after 20-25k! They were genuine VAG and it's been mostly run with a subframe - and with nylon ARB blocks before that, which I reckon makes a difference - as does not being silly low.
